Hometown Helena this Thursday, October 2: Benefis September 30th, 2025 Hey y’all! We’ve got a great program lined up for you this Thursday morning. Jim is taking some much needed time off this week, so members of the Hometown team will be leading the meeting. We’re excited to welcome John Goodnow, President & CEO of Benefis Health System, who will provide an update on their Helena operations. You’ve likely seen their new building on Prospect along with other development projects bringing fresh life into the former "Mall Site." Benefis’ work is part of  broader changes happening in Helena’s business landscape, and this is a great chance to hear directly from their leadership about what’s next. That includes the new Opportunity Bank Conference Center, site of tonight's Candidate forum for Helena Mayor and City Commission, hosted by the League of Women Voters at 6 pm. As always, we’ll take some time for updates and introductions as we celebrate the beautiful fall season we’re enjoying after the equinox, and keep the community conversation going. Tourism may be winding down, but school, community events, and local business activity are in full swing. We also want to remind you: ballots will be arriving in a few weeks. Be sure to stay engaged and support candidates who will help shape Helena’s future. If you can’t make it to the candidate forum tonight, we’ll be hearing from all of the candidates next week.
