May 27th's Hometown Helena with East Helena and other area updates

This week's update from our host:

Greetings Everyone,

Back by popular demand: Hometown Helena at the Montana Club on Thursday September 23rd.  On the Sixth Floor.  We’re planning to resume meeting in person this Fall.  And we will continue to Zoom these meetings for folks who want to participate in Hometown that way. It ought to be easy and simple regardless of how you want to join in.  We’ll continue to use the Anderson-Zurmuhlen platform, so all you’ll have to do is click on the link like always.  We’ll set up a laptop and maybe an extra camera or two in the Montana Club.

Also, we’ve received a kind invitation from Craig Asved and the good folks at Shodair Hospital to hold an in person Hometown at the new facility when it’s finished this Fall.   We’ll keep you posted on the exact date.  If you get a chance, drive up Colonial Drive to the I-15 South Exchange and take a look at the new Shodair Hospital going up.  The steel skeleton of the building is completed.  I haven’t seen so many I-beams since I worked at United States Steel Company, back in the day.

Meanwhile, we have another excellent program lined up for this Thursday (see below).  Our true ’sister city’ is East Helena.  It will be fun to hear about all the good things happening there.

Here’s hoping for a nice Memorial Day weekend and a good old Montana summer to follow.  Look forward to seeing you Thursday morning.
