Hometown Helena this Thursday, June 20th: Amy Watson, State Economist

June 18, 2024

Hey y’all!

Wondering what the data says about Montana’s workforce and housing market? There are plenty of rumors, assumptions, and debate around the subjects, but Amy Watson will be visiting to give us the hard facts. Amy’s been the State Economist for just under two years, and served as Senior Economist at DLI for over ten. I’m sure her presentation will be enlightening.

This is a big week for summer events! Alive @ 5 is launching tomorrow with music from 710 Ashbury, Business After Hours will be held at the new East Helena Valley Bank location, and the Old Salt Festival is kicking off Friday in Helmville. 406 Recycling has long been a partner of Alive @ 5, and with the concert series under the wing of Lewis & Clark Brewing, all of the beer cups will be Earth-friendly and compostable. Old Salt was recently featured in a New York Times article about their innovations in the beef industry. The festival is a celebration of their progress, and a really fun time out in the country. Hope to see you out and about!

Hope you’re staying warm and dry. We’ll see you at Helena College on Thursday morning, either in person or over Zoom.
