| Hometown Helena this Thursday, September 11: Federal Funding Changes |
|
| September 9, 2025
Hey Y’All,
This week we’re going to hear from several Helena area non profits about the federal funding reductions they are experiencing. Between the reconciliation bill just passed and the rescissions recently enacted, it’s a fiscal one-two punch for these organizations to absorb.
Please plan to join us this Thursday at Helena College to learn more about the impact of federal funding decisions. Changes made are rippling out across the country and right into our community. You’re also welcome to zoom into the meeting, courtesy of Aja Rail and the good people at Pinion.

| | | For seven years a certain boy wizard went to a certain Wizard School and conquered evil. This, however, is not his story. This is the story of the Puffs... who just happened to be there too. A tale for anyone who has never been destined to save the world. Join Wren, Oliver and Megan during their seven years attending that specific school somewhere across the pond and see their journey to becoming heroes... or not. PUFFS is a comedy about the side characters who want to be heroes in their own stories. Full of laughs, doors, and birds, this show is sure to delight... or not. Content Warning: PG-13 due to strong language and mature themes including murder, fantasy violence and sexual content. This is not a kids' show so we encourage parents to read about the show before deciding to bring kids... or not.
Playing at Carroll College Fri-Sun September 19 - October 5 with Sunday matinees. |

| | This fall, celebrate the holiday a little early when Raven’s Feather presents this hilarious satire of political correctness gone awry. Native American playwright Larissa FastHorse has created one of the funniest new plays of the decade.
When it premiered on Broadway in 2023, it was the first production for a female Native American playwright, and now it’s coming to Helena. The play starts with a group of people trying to create a new version of the first Thanksgiving story for their middle-school drama students. Things do not go as planned.
It runs Fri-Sun, Sept 5-21. You won’t want to miss it. |
