Greetings Everyone,
Happy Valentine’s Day everyone.  If you are still wondering where to take your Valentine this evening, we at Hometown Helena would recommend the Montana Club.  The Club has a great menu and the perfect atmosphere for your dining enjoyment.  And the Club will be open all weekend in case that works better for you and your Valentine.

If you happen to visit the Capitol today you’ll see several tables set up at various locations with Valentine’s Day cookies for sale.  This is a great biennial tradition at the Legislature.  The Legislative Spouses make and sell cookies on this very day each legislative session. They are made with care, very tasty, and there is always excellent variety to choose from.  All the proceeds go to the Capitol Restoration Fund, so your purchase supports a worthy cause. Stop in if you are near the Capitol today.

There’s another great event coming up at the Capitol on March 17th.  And we are all invited to attend and participate.  Leadership Montana is hosting an all day event entitled, 'Montana Legislature & Getting Involved in Montana Government.’

Here’s a note from Chantel Schieffer with Leadership Montana:  Leadership Montana is ecstatic to invite you to our signature event, the Confluence. This event visits different communities around Montana to build connections and understanding of that community and its issues. But, we will also be focusing on the past, present, and future of Leadership Montana through our programming. We are excited to see you there and look forward to making more connections with you throughout the year! Details are below.

Meanwhile, we have another great Hometown planned for this Thursday (see below).  We’ll hear from the Skier' Strauss, and his buddies from the Great Divide Ski Patrol. Also from Bekka Cantrell, from Sussex Construction, on the work this company is doing to develop housing for Helena.  And we will be joined by the Fusion 4133 Robotics Team.  This team won the state completion in Bozeman, and they are on their way to the national competition in Houston this spring. This ought to be fun for all.

Looking forward to seeing you Thursday morning at the Montana Club, or via the miracle of Zoom!

P.S. A reminder that we ask each person for a five dollar ($5) donation each week. Cash is nice.  There is also a Venmo option.  Your donation pays for the coffee, tea, etc.  Also, for the linens, the electricity, etc.  It pays for our lovely venue, the Montana Club.  We’ve all watched beautiful sunrises from the sixth floor on Thursday mornings.  Let’s keep faith with the Club and support it with our weekly $5 donation.
