Hometown Helena Thursday, June 27th: Big Brothers Big Sisters, Meals on Wheels

Hometown Helena this Thursday, June 27th: Big Brothers Big Sisters, Meals on Wheels

June 25, 2024

Hey y’all!

Big thank you to commissioner Andy Hunthausen for filling in as last week’s Hometown guest on very short notice and giving us a great update on the county! We heard a lot and there was plenty of interest in some potentially very important improvements to roads in and around Helena. Sorry to put you on the spot, but we sure are glad we did!

This week we have two pillars of service in our community, both helping at critical points in our lives: youth joining the workforce, and feeding our seniors and the homebound. Big Brothers Big Sisters and Meals on Wheels fight for connection in our community. They do more than mentorship or meal delivery, they help people stay afloat, do well, and live with dignity. Our fearless leader, Jim Smith, used to lobby on behalf of these two organizations! I’m looking forward to hearing what they’ve been up to in our community.

We’ll see you at Helena College on Thursday morning, either in person or over Zoom.
