Hey Y’All
There’s nothing better than the Summer in Montana. Unless it’s the Fall. Winter is an acquired taste. Spring comes late and is gone too soon. We chart our lives by the changing of the seasons here under the Big Sky. There’s hiking, fishing, camping, boating and floating season. Of course there’s hunting season, with all its variations. There’s planting season. Then harvest season. And there is construction season. This week at Hometown Helena we’re going to learn more about construction season and the work being done from some great guests who are on the front lines of building Montana.
Joining us this week at Hometown Helena will be Mr. Barry Houser, Communications Director of the Montana Contractors Association, and Mr. Jason Small, Executive Secretary of the Montana AFL-CIO. These are two of Montana’s most outstanding organizations. Each of them is a full service operation, offering a wide range of services, programs and benefits to their members, be they workers, companies or local unions. The web sites listed above have excellent information about these organizations. In the next few days, if you get a chance, please visit these web sites and learn more about these fine organizations.
If you’ve had a nice drive on a smooth Montana highway this summer, you can thank these two organizations. Farms and ranches on Hi-Line have water for irrigation again thanks to the completion of the St. Mary’s Diversion Project. Water projects underway are bringing pure drinking water to Indian Country. The Montana Heritage Center will have its grand opening this Fall thanks to the folks we’ll hear from this week. That’s a very small sample of the type of work being done every day and every season by the members of Montana Contractors Association and the Montana AFL-CIO.
Please join us this Thursday at Helena College from 7-8am to learn more from Mr. David Smith and Mr. Jason Small. Or, Zoom into the meeting from the comfort of your home or office courtesy of Aja Railand her colleagues at Pinion.
