Greetings Everyone,

We’re continuing our candidate forums this week.  This Thursday we’ll hear from candidates for Lewis and Clark County offices, and  candidates for the District 5 Public Service Commission (PSC) seat (see below).   Again, many thanks to Peter Strauss who took the lead in contacting these candidates, inviting them to Hometown and explaining the format and schedule to them.  Peter contacted all the candidates for these offices. These are the people who have replied, and who we’re expecting as of today (10/4).

I was tremendously impressed by all of the legislative candidates who spoke to Hometown Helena last week.  Each of them discussed their background, concerns, reasons for seeking office, and goals for the upcoming, 68th Montana Legislative Session.   My faith and confidence in our people and our institutions was definitely refreshed and restored last week.  Phil Drake at the IR did a very good story on the forum over the weekend.  Hope you saw it.

On behalf of Hometown Helena, I thank ALL of the candidates.  In the first place, for being willing to run for elected office.  And for finding time in the busy schedules they maintain to join Hometown to discuss their candidacies.

Looking forward to seeing you this Thursday.  Either in person at the Montana Club, or via Zoom.
